Solar
Reduced cutting time for mild steel tubes and solids
Due to the higher oxidation temperature, the TiN coated Solar saw blade allows cutting of materials with high tensile strengths. The PVD coating extends up to the hub of the saw blade.
Advantages:
- Increased blade life compared to steam treated blades
- Higher cutting speed rates
Applications:
- All materials like tubes, profiles and solids with a tensile strength up to 750 N/mm2
- Suggested cutting speed: 80 – 140 m/min
- Feed: 0,04 – 0,09 mm/tooth
- Machines: manual, semi-automatic, automatic
Typical application examples:

Recommended tooth forms:
Tooth form | Usage | |
HZ | Tooth pitch higher than 4 mm.
BW | Tooth pitch 4 mm or smaller.
CB | Chipbreaker tooth form is most effective for tube and profile cutting, particularly with PVD coated blades. |
